A pub to be proud of!

We’ve recently been successfully promoting Inapub.co.uk in Brighton and last week we came across an unassuming pub called “The Robin Hood” a pub we think is definitely one pub to be proud of, as all their profits go to local charities!

From the outside The Robin Hood looks like any other local community pub tucked down one of Brighton & Hove’s backstreets. When you walk in you get a warm welcome and are immediately tempted to order one of the fabulous stone fired pizzas! But once you find out that they give their profits to charity it makes you feel even warmer inside and want to drink their all the time!

Granted not every pub or business can do this, but it’s fantastic that the owner; who bought The Robin Hood nearly five years ago with profits from another pub sale; saw that running a business which gave its profits away was a better long term investment in local charities than giving a slug of his original “sale” profits to charity.

We’d have to agree!

So we gave The Robin Hood a completely free subscription to Inapub.co.uk, a free Twitter feed and set their account up! We also want to make sure that loads of people go to their 5th year birthday party on the 22nd August and that anyone who enjoys real ale checks out their Real Ale festival which will run from the 13th Aug finishing on the weekend of their party.

Oh – and just in case you’re wondering… the pubs name The Robin Hood, has been the same for years – but what a lovely irony there is with its new role in the community (not to mention my name)!

Cheers

Robin “Proud supporter of The Robin Hood”

Ps: If you do go in having found out or read about them via Inapub.co.uk, then please mention it, we want them to know how big a fan of them we are!
